I am trying to change LCD screen on my iPhone 8+ So i recently spend more than 100$ to buy the latest Qianli iCopy + 2.2 version. But unfortunately when i try to read data from my original and replacement LCD screen the quickly show “Reading Screen” less than fraction of a second and jumps back to the main menu. I then tried reading and writing it through the PC software (by copying the board number), but unfortunately got the following errors: " Data reading failure: communication line/connection error orShort circuit or disconnected" Please see the attached image. However, the iPhone XR LCD reads just fine.

Have upgraded the device firmware. Also similiar problem with someone here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mobilerepair/co… Appreciate help. Thanks.

I’m not sure I have an answer to your issue, but perhaps some of my experience with my first attempt at using the iCopy for an iPhone X will give you some ideas. First off, I never had any issue reading the serial number from the screen, but could not for the life of me manage to program the screen with the correct number. My first discovery is that the Qian Li software does not give you the correct number you need to program into the screen when you hook up the iPhone directly to your computer. All you get is the serial number of the phone, which doesn’t help. I ended up downloading both 3uTools and the JCIDRepair software, both of which reported the number I needed from the phone. At some point with all the plugging and unplugging between the phone and the iCopy, my new replacement screen stopped powering up. I discovered the connector had broken and looking closely at the connector on the iCopy board, it seemed to have a pin that was broken too. So I’m now at a standstill while waiting for my replacement iCopy board. At any rate, check the iPhone 8 plus connector on the iCopy board carefully; they don’t seem to be the highest quality and mine is definitely broken. The upshot is that I can read the data fine, but cannot program even an original iPhone screen currently. Hopefully a replacement board will solve that.

Remove the black circuit board from the reader then remove the cellophane. Put the board back on and try again.

Hello .. thanks for the answer. I am working on sourcing a replacement board to try if it works. Meanwhile when i connect the battery repair board to program the battery, i notice the following : The battery board detects the battery on all iphone models i tested (8+, XR) and I am able to change the battery capacity and percentage from qianli (both from machine and PC). So for instance if i program the iPhone XR battery capacity from 70% to 90%, qianli does it with by successfully write message, I can confirm this by removing and re-connecting the battery to the connector board, and qianli reads and shows the battery capacity with new updated changed cpacity as 90% on its display screen. However, when I insert the battery back and connect the phone, it shows the same old 70% “Service” status in the maximum capacity. I tried doing many power cycle (discharging and fully charging) my phone many times, also tried installing IOS operating system several times but it still shows the old battery capacity. It looks like in the new ios releases Apple did something so that the ios reports only the old battery capacity even after someone changes it. Any solution to this?
