Hi, I have a simillar problem. When I run the AHT it “spits out” the error code 4SNS/1/40000000: TGOD but no numbers after it so I wonder what happened. My mac is also running fairly well, it doesn’t shut down after some time. But when i even 1 app it goes into some kind of turbo mode and the metal (near the display) is really hot. So do you think I am worrying to much or should I check the cooler fans. Thanks for response, Josef.

This is a fan sensor error. Your machine is overheating thus you get the turbo fans. Open it up, remove the fan and clean the vent. Check to see if the fan needs replacing. Check to see that the fans are both running. Finally you may need to replace the thermal paste. This machine has a liquid filled heat sink which has been known to leak. Look for an oily residue. Its you find it, replace the heat sink.
