Chosen Solution

First time posting here - have searched and tried all solutions I could find.m I have a iphone se which suffered a fall and a cracked screen. Restoring in itunes results in either error 9 or error 4014, normally error 9. I have tried replacing the screen, home button, battery and charge flex and have different variations with the old and new parts. I have the original screen (which appears to work) and touch id. Plugging the phone into itunes brings up a message saying that the phone is in recovery mode and must be restored. I then restore and update and during the waiting for iphone to restore stage it ends and results in error 9/4014. When a screen is attached the apple logo appears on a black screen with a progress bar which doesnt move before it cuts out when the error appears. I have examined the board and there doesnt appear to be any damage and I was the only one to open the device (it was sold to me with the error). I have repaired a number of iphone models over the years but have hit a stumbling block here.

I’m going through the same issue, only the phone I’m dealing with has never been opened or fixed whatsoever and I only seem to get error 9. The problem was triggered by an OTA update to iOS 11.3. Let me know if you manage to sort this out.
