Hello friends, I’m receiving the error 80010017 in my almost new PS3 slim. Everything appears Ok but when I try to play any game I allways receive the error message. Erich give this a try I believe that there are also firmawre issues connected with the error code and I believe that some users have had luck with reactivation. Go into into Account Management ([Friends] [Account Management]), de-activated and then re-activate again. If that does not work and you are having ssues with all o your games, it is most likely that you will have to replace your BR drive. Hello, I am getting this error with only one game I downloaded, Warhammer 40,000, all other games work fine. No, I will not reformat my brand new hard drive just to hopefully get ONE game to launch. I have downloaded and installed 3 times with same result. I have de-activated and activated games authorization. What will fix this?
It depends, if other games are excuted just fine and one does not, then it’s a firmware issue. You can just upgrade to latest version. Most of the time, Jailbreak users may encounter this error on latest games. Which is obviously the game is designed only to work on latest firmware due to it’s encryption.
