When I connect my iPhone 3GS to iTunes, it shows error 1015, and I can’t restored it. Please help me! I have iOS 4.1.2. Thanks :)

If you follow this forum and check on user Odalis, you’ll see that he has a perfect description as well as software posted to assist you with the solution to this error. It may require you to sign on the forum—but it’s free, and you will find plenty of further information on those forums. This page has Apple’s answer to your problem, using a Mac. iTunes error 1015 is always along with the “plug into iTunes” screen stuck on iPhone. Indeed, that is the common error “iPhone stuck on recovery mode”. Easy and quick way to fix it is to use the ReiBoot. Have a try by following this guide: How to exit iPhone recovery mode easily and quickly.

i plugged my iphone 3gs 32gb to itune and it said something like, “the new version of the iphone software is available”. i downloaded it and when the download was done, my iphone restarted and the screen got stuck in the itune plug in. i restored it but itune says can not restore, error 1015…i tried IREB to fix it but it still shows the same error. PLEASE somebody tell me how to fix it…by the way, my iphone was jailbroken before the incident happened. plz help me….thanks

I have had this issue just recently and have tried everything possible to fix it. I’ve come to the conclusion there is no way to fix the problem, TinyUmbrella doesn’t work, you will just get more errors with that program. IRev doesn’t work, same thing more errors. None of the videos on YouTube have the answer (most are for Windows users). The only solution is to take it to a tech shop and get them to restore it for you. It will cost $60-$100 bucks and then you have to restore your service provider which will cost you another pile of money etc etc etc. :( Not the answer you where looking for.

It appears that despite receiving this error the OS did in fact restore. What worked for me personally was downloading Bootrec (which kicks it out of the recovery loop) and back onto the Home Screen.
itunes is a load of rubbish they dont want you to do anything for free, if the did they would use the file explorer to move files. I am having trouble with my iphone 3g,it iwas stuck on the apple logo then i went on youtube, looked for a solution, and it told me to restore my iphne. so i did then once itunes had finished that, it came up with error 1015,and was then stuck in recovery mode. i was then looking for, how to fix an iphone 3g stuck in recovery mode and it told me todo the same thing,once itunes had finished that it came up with another error mesage saying error 3194. what a waste of £150 when itunes wont let me restore my iphone. i would advise anyone to stick to android or windows if this problem cant be fixed.
