I was ready to follow your wonderful instructions to put in a new printhead on my 1400, called Epson parts distributor, said they would sell me the part, but because I was not an authorized repair person, the head would not come with a warranty or support. They said they use an instrument to calibrate the voltage , since this print head fits other Epson printers. I called 3 repair stations near me, and they basically gave the same answer. Is this hooey? Has anyone actually done the install on a 1400? Regards, Millard
I have to replace the head in my 1400. As far as I have read the head comes with shipping liquid that must be drained and filed with the ink. I understand that Epson has software to preform this task. I am looking to purchase this software. This printer has only 2 voltages that the power supply provides 42 V DC and 3.3 V DC and non of these are adjustable. If you get information on the software pleas share. Oscar Shah.
