Ok guys I’m at my wits end. I’m learning as I go here. I have a older 2005 Craftman DLT 3000. Put new battery in, New Spark plug, fresh gas and changed the oil. It just revs up and never fires over. What advice would you give for my next step or steps ?

Have you checked the compression. It needs at 80psi of compression but it should be more like 110psi. Did you verify you have spark? You can but a spark tester at the auto parts store for a few dollars. Did you make sure that fuel is getting into the carburetor and then into the engine? It needs compression, spark and fuel to run. First verify that you have all three. After you verify that you have compression and spark try spraying starting fluid into the carburetor. If it starts you either have a bad fuel pump or the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. But that is after you verify spark and compression.

Has it ever sat for extended periods with fuel in it that didn’t have stabilizer added? Your carb may be varnished and need to be rebuilt.
