Hello, I made a deep search on the Internet but I am still not sure whether my Mid-2010 MBP can allow Continuity+Handoff+Airdrop after replacing the wireless card. My question is clear: is the card BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX compatible with Mid-2010 MacBook Pro or not? Cause all the items I found said to be compatible with MBP 2011 and 2012 but not with 2010. Would I be able to activate Continuity after replacing my wireless card and modify the kext? Finally, recommendations about where to get the wireless card at a reasonable price? Thanks a lot, Víctor
If your MBP mid 2010 is 13" model, than this wifi card is not compatible with your MBP mid 2010. I’ve just try to replace this card in my MBP mid 2010 but…the Broadcom card that i’ve buy is 3mm more height than the original and is impossible to install under the lcd panel.
Compatible with box does not mean - will work with Yosemite. They are two mutually exclusive questions. I suggest you read this and the other Yosemite tagged Answers before jumping in on this upgrade. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
So what is the answer? I’m finding out I’m not very tech savvy…all I want to know is if BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX card will fit and give me Bluetooth 4.0 in the MacBook Pro 2010 unibody that I just bought. 15" by the way! Thanks in advance!
