Hi Joe, Can I ask u a question? I have a doorbell that is completely battery operated. No electric running to it at all. When I use my electronic burners on my stove or my washing machine switches cycles, my doorbell will sound or chime??? I lead just wondering if I had a dangerous current running in the walls that was setting it off?? Thank you, Jo July 25,2020

@jo59 Just noticed your question. If the doorbell, door push button also has no wires running to it, then it must be battery operated also. It operates the doorbell by sending a wireless signal to the doorbell when it is pressed. What can sometimes happen is that the igniters or any electrical device that switches on/off etc can emit EMI (electromagnetic interference), in the same wireless frequency range that the doorbell operates in. This may be being picked up by the doorbell and it thinks that it is the push button signalling to turn on and ring.
