I’m not sure how to really explain it.. when I turn on my keyboard it makes these weird crackling sounds. After maybe 30 seconds of turning it on (the crackling getting louder as well), the keyboard suddenly turns off by itself. It’s happened multiple times and I’ve already tried fixing it before. I found out the crackling noises were from the speakers and I’m not really sure what to do about it.

Hi @thehelpfulfrog What is the make and model number of the keyboard? Are you sure that the noise was from the speakers themselves or maybe it was the audio amp creating the noise that can be heard in the speakers. What did you do before that temporarily resolved it? Do you hear it when using headphones connected to the keyboard (if that option is available)?

This sounds like a problem in the power supply section. If this keyboard has an external power supply that plugs into a wall socket try to borrow one just like it from a store or a friend. See if that fixes the crackling. If it does just purchase a replacement power supply. If the power supply is internal to the keyboard (you can tell by a wall plug cable goes directly into the keyboard), have someone who knows electronics disassemble the unit and replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section. These capacitors sometimes breakdown and allow internal shorting which could cause the crackling and also could cause the unit to shut down temporarily.
