There’s a very distinct rattle in one ear of my earbuds. This is present on multiple devices, it’s been there a while but recently it’s become much louder. I’d like to open the bud to take a look at the driver and see if there’s something on it but the casing seems like two pieces of fused plastic. @cm06mrs ,Matt S , you are probably correct the 2 pieces will be fused or glued and you will have to carefully go around that joint with a sharp blade very carefully not to cut too deep or cut yourself. The link below show’s it being done. You may want to have some glue or 2 part epoxy on hand to rejoin. Good luck.
