I want to buy an ear speaker part for replacement, but I the face ID attaches to it, Can you tell me if the Face ID still working if I replace this part? I have iPhone X. Face ID working fine
Hi, Unfortunately if you replace the ear speaker assembly you will lose the Face ID funcionallity. It also mentioned in the repai guide: The flood illuminator forms part of the biometric Face ID security feature, and Face ID functions will fail if the original component is damaged or incorrectly installed. Replacing it with a new part will also cause Face ID to fail, so take extra care not to damage any of these components during this procedure. If damaged, only Apple can restore Face ID function.
