Hello everyone, recently i have changed battery for my iphone 3gs, i connected all the ribbons like it said on the instructions, everything works perfectly exept… the ear speaker. Could anyone help me please. Thanks in advance..
This is most likely a loose connection. Either that or you have damaged the ear piece receiver ribbon connector/connection during the replacement. Below are some images of what the connections should look like. The most common cause of an earpiece receiver not working is this cable coming loose.
This is the ribbon and connections by themselves.
MAKE SURE to push the small white tab down or the cable will come loose very easily.
If you have damaged the connector then it will look something like this, and unless you are a very skilled solderer then it is unrepairable.
