Hello, I have the Big Xbox one (The big black one with the external PSU) and it has the E100 error/brick. I have found that it’s due to the disc drive. I have tried changing the disc drive with the original logic board and it still doesn’t work. If I try and insert a Disc, the Xbox will power up from me inserting the disc, but it won’t actually take it in. If I use the replacement logic board it takes the disc, but ofc I can’t use the replacement logic board because of the pairing. In the log, there is something about ODD not detected or something like that. I don’t know anyone near me that could fix the logic board (think it’s a bad motor controller chip?) so is there anything at all I can do or is the unit now a paperweight. I’ve tried most of the updating techniques. Thanks (In short, I beleve the motor controller on the odd logic board is dead) -Marcus
Hi Marcus, It may not be the ODD problem. You can check with the original ODD but different HDD. Could you check if you are able to update the console firmware? I had a similar issue and that was caused by the hard drive.
