How to remove the DVD ROM from HP Compaq 6910p
Hi @elishaalfred , Here’s a link to the service manual for the laptop. Scroll to p.54 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the DVD drive.
Most times, it is only one screw on the bottom of the laptop and the DVD/CD drive can be pulled out. Lay the laptop down on its backside to expose the bottom case. There should be a screw with a symbol next to it that looks similar to a CD or DVD or disc. Remove this screw, press the eject button to the left of the drive, and the DVD drive should eject and slide out easily.
