During my battery removal of iPhone 7 plus there are three pull tabs. 1 came out fine Other two got broken initially and was not able to get them During insertion the black outer coating got torn and some chemical smell is coming out from it. What should I do? Should I tape it and use it ?
The black outer coating on batteries are there to keep all of the chemicals that make the batter work INSIDE the battery. If that outer layer has been punctured you will likely have those chemicals coming out of the battery over the course of its lifetime, with some potentially dangerous results. At this point you should be properly disposing of the punctured battery and ordering a new one.
