Chosen Solution
When trying to turn on my DSi XL both screens turn on, (sometimes it even shows the health and safety screen) but then immediately shuts down. This happens even after charging. After charging it and trying to power it on without the charger in it gets into the main menu or the DSi but then dies, in never gets that far with the charger inside. When I turn it on without the charger inside it dies the instant I put the charger back in.
@tyx11 start off with a new battery. This does sound like an issue with the charging circuit but you need to rule out the battery first.
