Dsi Not Working After Pennies Were Put In The Sd Slot Nintendo Dsi

My son put two pennies in the SD slot of his DSi and now it is not working. I carefully removed the pennies, but I think he tried to play it when they were in there. The device appears to charge. The blue light and lower screen flash when I hit the power button and that’s it. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

If the DSi was on while the pennies were in there, it would have shorted the logic board.
