We have a kenmore dryer that seems to randomly stop working. It will work for maybe one cycle and then stop, it has an electric control panel and it appears to be totally dead, no response to any button press. it does have power though, as the drum light comes on. If I disconnect power, then disconnect all cables from the control board and reassemble, it starts working again. I replaced the control board, but it still has the same problem. Any idea on what may be causing it?

My first thought is that you have lost one leg of your electrical supply. These things run off of 220 volts which in the USA consists of two hot 110 lines coming in. I would start by testing the wall outlet and see if both legs are hot with a multimeter. You should have two 110 lines and a ground.
