Dryer runs, no errors. No heat, and no error codes. Tested thermal fuse with a multi-meter, and it looks fine. There is some slightly toasted lent at the bottom, but not a fire. Are there guides for troubleshooting the gas solenoid or the igniter ? Thank You
Hi @garose , Here’s a video that shows how to test an ignitor in a dryer The tech sheet for the dryer is Whirlpool part # LIT 8557311 but unfortunately I can’t find it online. Having this would give the schematics and also the diagnostics, that would be more help.
Figured it out. There were enough spiderwebs inside, that it restricted fresh air flow. So the flame from the burner was not pulling far enough down the draw tube to not land on the thermal sensor above the ignitor. It was a fine layer of webs, so I just didn’t notice them at first. But once wiped away, it works well once again. Thanks for the help, sincerely !
