Hello, I have dropped my iPhone X on the floor and my screen is now pretty badly smashed towards the bottom, since then, it has been stuck on the dead battery symbol when I plug it in and will not charge up. i was just wondering what the MOST likely fault is for this? Is it just a simple case of replacing the damaged battery etc. Can’t find any forum where iPhone X gets stuck on this specific screen. thanks for the help, Josh
Hi @josh2143 If the low battery screen goes away immediately after unplugging the device, then the battery isn’t being recognized by the device and needs to be reconnected/replaced. It is also possible that your extreme drop could have dislodged some dust/dirt in the charging port, keeping the charging cord from making good contact. The cable is plugged in completely when the metal part is no longer visible. As a last resort, some types of LCD damage can pull a large amount of power from the device, keeping it from working normally. I would suggest ordering a replacement LCD and battery to see if the device will power up as normal.
