Chosen Solution
I dropped my Macbook at work and the Touchbar slowly faded to black, like a Jay-Z Album. Does anyone know which parts I need to purchase in order to fix this myself? as my laptop is out of warranty and Apple is trying to charge me 1k+ for the repair just because of the slight bruise on the corner of the case (Which i could care less about) and they do not do PARTIAL REPAIRS.
I am not sure if it is specifically the Touch Bar, but assuming it is you can buy replacement housings that come with the Touch Bar pre-installed - however it is a very involved process and would require removing all internal parts of the laptop. Hope this helps (:
