I dropped the ipad out of my bag. It hit the driveway and now has a small hairline crack down the middle of the screen. It still functions fine, but i want to have my screen back to As new. Is there a way to change our the screen with a new one? How hard is it to do? I am a bit tecky - I believe with some good instructions i can do this myself.. James
Go to Apple iPad Repair and select the category for your iPad model. There should be a “Front Panel Assembly” replacement guide that gives step by step instructions on how to replace the front panel which includes the glass and digitizer. Because of the adhesive on the front panel, you will have to have an iOpener or a Heat Gun.
