I dropped my alcatel one touch idol alpha on the floor and there is a crack on the top right corner and one thin crack running from the top crack downwards at the right side of the phone screen. My buttons are now not working on my phone, except the buttons 1 and 2 and 3. I did reboot the phone several times and nothing changes.
Are they capacitive or hardware buttons? Capacitive buttons work via the digitiser. A crack that passes through the outside edge of the screen can go through the digitiser circuitry and cause them to not function, in the same way part of the screen may also not respond to touch, but that will vary depending on the extent of the damage
