Hi Guys. I accidentally drop my macbook and dented the right hand side of it. The right USB port is dead and I got the message “USB Accessories Disabled - Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices”. Sometimes the message shows up, sometimes it’s not. The SD and HDMI port are working normally though. I noticed a few things: For some random days, I put it on sleep mode at full battery but after 2 or 3 days without any usage, the battery is fully drained. The battery sensor shows that the battery temp goes to approx 37-39 deg C. While on another same macbook of mine, it hardly goes above 31 deg C. Following some search on google, I decided to buy a new right I/O board hoping it would fix but it did not. Does anyone know how to fix this? I can do some general replacement, but I am not an electronics guy. I attached here some photos, including the I/O board and the damage. Thanks!
You’ll got some work here ;-{ The best answer is first replacing the uppercase as you can’t use the ports in this state and reforming the case will more than likely crack it and given the location the hinge it won’t be nice. You also need a new bottom cover.
