my drip pan on the bottom of the fridge is getting water in it & is filling up within a week. MODEL #ET1CHEXSB01
Hi @peggybyrd What is the model number of the refrigerator? Water in the pan is normal but it should never get to the point of overflowing as the water should evaporate before this happens. If there is a lot of water it means that there is a lot of ice being melted every time the auto defrost function kicks in once every 8-10 hours. Check that the door seals are OK and providing a good seal preventing warmer moist air from entering the refrigerator creating more ice on the evaporator unit than what usually occurs due to normal usage i.e. doors being opened etc. To check the seals place a piece of paper between the door and the door jamb and with the door closed, try to pull it out. It will come out with a bit of effort but it should definitely not fall out by itself. Do this at various places around the doors, top, bottom and both sides.
