When you pull the trigger the drill only runs a short time and stops. Releasing the trigger and re-pulling it does nothing. If you release the trigger and switch direction, then pull the trigger it run but again only for a few seconds.
Battery is most likely dead. Try charging it,…….. . Test it using a multimeter. The batteries can go bad and they will no longer accept a charge.
