Hi my drier was showing code f06 it appeared to be the thermostat that had tripped. He had been blowing cold air then just stopped working all together. I googled some repairs and it said to reset the thermostat and make sure all lint and filters are cleaned and air can get through back etc. ( i think mine was too close up against wall) Unfortunately mine appears to be something they call a one shot thermostat and not able to reset. I have found a link on youtube that shows how you can reset a non restable one by pressing a pin through the dot on it. It clicked and worked and drier is now working. I am not confident to continue using until i get some sound reasurance that this is safe and ok ttohave done? It says the newer model driers tend to be fitted with non resetable thermostats is this for saftey or just to encourage puchasing spares or prehaps to make sure an engineer sources root of problem of why its overheated? Any thoughts appreciated. Now i know the part im thinking i could just replace the thermostat with the same brand it seems a very simple attachment but if my fix is safe it seems silly ro replace. Thanks for your advice :-)
jes we need to know your drier make and model. Your thermostats most likely cannot be reset. What may have happened is that your thermal fuse blew. Again non-resettable and needs to be replaced.
