During use, the picture on the television suddenly doubled as shown:

After some research, I decided to open up the TV and do some troubleshooting. Other questions dealing with odd display issues tend to point towards the T-CON board so I decided to start here.

When I removed the lower right cable (as it is viewed) and powered on the TV I got half a picture as expected but the double image was not occuring. When I removed the lower left cable (as viewed) I again got half a picture but the double image was still present. After checking all of the other connections in various configurations, I wanted to check the ribbon connections from the T-CON board to the LCD display board but unfortunatly, these are inserted into the LCD panal enclosure and I can’t really identify a way to remove them and check the connection.

I suspect that it is a faulty T-CON board but I was wondering if there was any way that I could troubleshoot further to confirm. I would rather not buy a replacement T-CON board if the issue is the ribbon connection on the LCD PCB. Thanks for any help!

I have the same problem but as yet found a fix ! Update (07/13/2018) Apologies I meant to say “I haven’t yet found a fix” ! I’m still searching.
