Fridge will start up fine but after 2 days it will slowly warm up and not maintain proper temperature. Any ideas? Update (06/27/2021) My unit is an Americana model 2652. The RV is a 2003. It is electric and propane. The element is working fine as the coils are hot as well as the vent pipe. Is it difficult to add refrigerant?
Hi, Here’s an image taken from the service manual that shows how to test the thermister and also the most likely causes for insufficient cooling. Have you checked that the door seals are OK? Try placing a sheet of paper between the door and the cabinet and with the doors closed try pulling it out. It will come out with a bit of an effort but it shouldn’t fall out by itself. Try this at various places around the door. Top, bottom and both sides.
