Hi, My Mac stopped to turn on and when I oppened it thh battery was swollen. So I remmoved the battery but the Mac still don´t turn on withUSB-C charger connected. Does this mac supposed to work without battery ( only connected on charger ) or I have another problem on it ?
To my knowledge, most MacBooks won’t turn on without a battery, if it’s not removable without unscrewing the bottom case. I speak from experience with a Mid-2014 MacBook Air
You do need a new battery! MacBook Pro 13" Retina (A1989, A2251) Battery But! You likely have a second issue within the logic board as your system shouldn’t have pushed the battery to the point of failing. This gets into the power & SMC logic needing to be checked.
