hi guys :) first im sorry for my bad english hope you understand me :’( I bought a slim ps4 in 2016 I’ve never used it is still in the box , my question is : the thermal paste in my ps4 slim ( never used ) can expire or degraded despite ? so next time if i want to play with it i need to change the thermal paste after 5 years no used ? does thermal paste expire in my new ps4 never used ?
The reason we need to clean and apply fresh paste is the paste cooks from the heat of the CPU/GPU chips! As you hadn’t used your PS4 it hasn’t really cooked the paste so you should be fine!
