If I get a MD Port to HDMI Adapter like this one or this one, will I get audio output via the Mini Displayport? Or do I need an adapter that pulls audio via USB or 1/8" like this one?

This system does not support Mini DP audio.

That model does not have audio via the MDP. You’ll need an adapter to get audio.
