I am currently doing some iphone repairs to get some spare cash and am very annoyed about the messages that say “not genuine screen/battery/camera/etc.” i found a screen and battery programmer online that is highly rated but only supports screens up to the iphone 11/11 pro/11 pro max and was wondering if it will still reprogram the 12 mini/12/12 pro/12 pro max. i’d also like to know if the 13 series is backwards compatible with the 12 series
hello Daniel, no iPhone is backwards compatible ( with a few exceptions, e.g. screen to 12 and 12 pro - it’s the same screen) ) and the ability to program accessories, battery and screen ends with the model 11 (probably will never come back on newer models). Apple was losing a fortune on counterfeit parts in China, so it looks like they finally cleared it. Protection against transferring parts from other, idle telephones can be bypassed. However, knowledge and skillful hands are required - the ability to solder sensitive components.
