Does The Ipad 7 8Th Gen Digitizer Work With The 9Th Gen Ipad 9

Customer broke their newest iPad 9 (10.2) and her daughter ended up breaking her device. I was wondering if the 7th and 8th gen digitizer glass would work with the 9th gen. Thank you!

Yes the iPad 7th/8th Gen digitizers are compatible with the iPad 9th Gen. Just fitted one, connections are the same. Touch works fine.

As far as I can tell no, the digitizer on the iPad 9 is different so that it can use true tone, you will have to get an iPad 9 digitizer to replace it.

Hi Fabian, you can use the same Touch Panel / digitiser & LCD. The True Tone function won’t work as older Touch Panels / digitisers (7th Gen & 8th Gen) won’t have.All other functions such as the LCD & Touch work though.

You will also notice that the camera hole is bigger on the iPad 9th Gen. than the previous generations.
