I have an Apple Watch Series 2 since september of 2016, i have taken my Watch into the pool several times, but now there’s like 10 months that my Watch doesn’t touch the water. Now I’m going to participate in a swiming competition. My question in, is my apple watch still as water resistant as new ? and how much time does it take to start losing it’s water resistance ? (With normal use and wear) it doesn’t have cracked display or nothing. Thank you.
Ian, The waterproof ability of devices should not deteriorate in that short amount of time. I hope this helps, Charlie
Water resistant is not the same as waterproof. Don’t take it in the pool. Water-resistant: able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely. Water-repellent: not easily penetrated by water, especially as a result of being treated for such a purpose with a surface coating. Waterproof: impervious to water.
