Hi guys, I have couple of iPhone 5s which do not turn on. When I try to restore it gives error 40. I have checked some power lines already: PP_VCC_MAIN PP_BATT_VCC PP1V2_CPU PP1V0_SOC PP1V2_SDRAM PP_1V0_SRAM PP5V0_USB_PROT PP1V8 PP3V0_NAND PP1V2_NAND_VDDI Those are all present. But I have couple of lines that are missing: PP1V1_GPU and PP3V0_ACC. Are those lines required for the boot or to complete the restore? Thank you.

Credit goes to Jessa at iPad Rehab, made a summary below of video: PP3V0_ACC (From U2 Tristar chip [ACC_PWR], Pad D5 is location of it under chip) is used for powering lightning accessories (usb fan / HDMI adaptor / unusual stuff) from the lightning dock connector. Phone will still charge normally without PP3V0_ACC with iPad / iPhone wall chargers and USB connection to computer still works. Source for PP3V0_ACC explained: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsIKeFnd… Below is potential solution from a GSMhosting thread For PP1V1_GPU short it could be caused by U7 (Power Management chip) Removing l13 and l14 I assume can be used to confirm if U7 is causing short. Source for PP1V1_GPU short solution at Post #2 of thread post: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f631/iph… Edit forgot to say with PP3V0_ACC missing the phone will charge half speed if a USB ammeter is used. 0.9ish-1.0 Amp is expected charging speed for normal charging.
