Hi guys having issues with my iPhone 6s Plus. I sent this off to the repairer he said that the WiFi chip needs reprogramming. My question is does the WiFi chip still need provra if the nand hasn’t been removed? Or how about if I change the WiFi chip will I need to reprogram it. Or can I clean up the old one and put it back to the board thanks

Go back and grab your phone out of his hands! Find someone will some real skills. Bluetooth and WiFi chips don’t need programing or firmware them selves. Your phone’s OS (iOS here) manages all of this as well as your input. Just like a computer you join a WiFi network (AP) that is the only programing you do within your phones iOS and with Bluetooth you allow a wireless headphones to connect to your phone through a process. When you go to the WiFi Settings do you see any AP’s listed with signal levels shown? If you do then your phone is fine its just not setup for the AP you wanted.
