I’m going to install my Pioneer deck ito my 95 geo prizm and I already have the wiring harness and dash mounting kit the only thing I am missing is a mounting sleeve/cage was wondering if I could use my old one off my Sony deck
Hi @whatdoyouwant5 , As long as you have the correct length bracket mounting screws for your Pioneer deck it should be OK. You don’t want to screw into the new deck too far and damage anything by using too long a screw. ;-) You may have to drill new holes in the old bracket to line up with the screw holes in the new deck. If you do have to drill new mounting holes, ensure that you get it right and that the new deck face is flush with the dash. You don’t want it to protrude out from the dash or be in too far for that matter either. Try lining up the screw holes in the new deck with the new deck sitting on top of the old deck which is still in the bracket, both decks the same at the front, to give an idea of where to drill in the bracket. (if you get what I mean)
