Hi, I would like to disconect the battery because I use always use it in a dock. If I remove the battery conector, the iPod refuses to work, although the power cable is plugged. If the battery is dead, the iPod refuses to work too, although the power cable is plugged. How can I do?
there are a few problems you should take care of, the only way it could work would be: removing the power connectors from the dock on the logic board, place the + & - contacts from the dock connecor on the battery contacts (thats why the power must be removed from the logic board, you don’t want to short it - right ?) but to be honest, let the battery stay inside, if you use the device more often, then it’s no harm to let it stay inside the iPod
