Does Apple Thunderbolt Display Make Harmful To Gpu On Macbook Pro 16 Apple Thunderbolt Display

I was using this monitor with my MacBook Pro 16”, they work fine. However, every time I have it connected, I can feel my MacBook Pro 16” getting warmer, I guess it will use the AMD GPU for powering up the Thunderbolt Display, even with the regular office usage. So, my concern is, will this shorten the lifetime of GPU on my MacBook Pro? Should I reduce the time of connecting it with Thunderbolt Display? Any suggestions? Thanks, Update (09/29/2020)

@lovecd - OK, go into the Display tab and select Scaled button. You should then have a listing of options. Your Thunderbolt display Optimum Resolution is 2560x1440 see if you have that listed, select it. See if that improves things.
