I have had multiple I/O boards for various MacBook models come to me with the surrounding material around the MagSafe connector damaged. I’m looking for a “proper” replacement for this cover, but I don’t think that I’m using the proper terminology in my searches. It would be nice to be able to replace these to restore more cosmetic value to the device. Thanks in advance!

The thin felt/foam pad is to control dust from entering (dust seal). Apple doesn’t offer it as a FRU any more. You’ll need to find some thin felt (or foam) to make your own. We (years ago) found some thin grey felt and used some thin sharp steel to fashion a cutting die in the shape so we could cut them out as we needed them. The newer systems have a tighter tolerance and don’t have them. They still use foam around the USB-C connectors still.
