So i completely changed the entire front assembly of my iPhone 6 Plus. While attaching the ribbons (or cables) to the logic board, I noticed that the ribbons were very sturdy (since its new) and I got afraid of bending the ribbons so that the bracket can fit in place. I left it off and closed the iphone and now it works like normal. However I’m concerned that leaving it off could cause some type of harm to it. Any help or info would be appreciated and thanks.

Flex cables are quite durable, I wouldn’t worry about that, repeated bending will eventually cause them to fail, but not something that should concern you for a simple replacement. Correct me if i’m wrong but you mean the small metal plate that sits on top of the cable headers? I would suggest putting this on, if you don’t the phone will work however if you drop or even just bump it, the cables might come loose or disconnect entirely. This won’t put the phone in any real danger but the plate is there to stop this from happening.
