Chosen Solution
So I have a Apple MacBook Pro Retina A1502 from mid 2014. Some of the keys started to fail so after going through a troubleshooting I’ve decided to change the keyboard. After a a few hours of work all seemed to work fine again. A week after the trackpad failed so I tried to change flex cable cause it looked bent to me but no success. Additionally a few days later some of the keys started to fail again so I’ve decided to change the whole topcase+trackpad. I’ve found a good deal on a A1502 from 2015. Does anybody know if it will fit mine? Thank you for your help.
Nope, unfortunately the 2015 topcase is not compatible with the A1502 of previous years/series. Trackpad is different and cannot be swapped either.
