Hello iFixit community, I am considering in buying a new 21.5” iMac 4k (2019). Considering Apple’s extreme charges for RAM and SSD upgrades, I want to upgrade it by myself. I wonder if it is possible with 2019 iMac 4k? If so, does the iFixit documentation for 2017 version guide me to do that? Cheers, Asil
You’re ahead of the curve here! iFixit hasn’t done a teardown on the newest models as of yet as they haven’t been shipped. Even still it will take some time to prepare the teardown then we’ll all know. If I where to hazard a guess the layout would be the same as the older models and the limitations the 21.5” has over the 27” will be present as well.
