I wanted to swap the ic to remove the display message. Sadly messed up the ic. Do you think I can still use it if I reball it?
Hi This one is hard to say From the photos the only real damage that I can confirm is what looks like scratches but if it’s the pads your worried about I would try using a soldering iron at 300deg c and a blob of solder to start scrubbing the pads as it could just be heavily oxidised pads If they aren’t taking any solder they could be ripped which would mean that you need a new chip but if they do you would just need to wick the pads and reball it and solder it back on The scratches should be fine aslong as they aren’t deep but if you resolder it on, check for any shorts on the board and screen as it would also indicate if it’s good or bad If you had a different issue I mid please let me know Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
