Neither. Get 99% IPA and do it right. If you have access to an ultrasonic cleaner, that’s the best way to clean these boards. Follow these instructions to clean the board. The problem with desiccants is they don’t do anything but provide a false sense of security and trash repairable devices for no good reason. Do it right or you’ll end up with a dead laptop that’s beyond repair given enough time. The issue with laptops is the keyboards never seem to survive, so be prepared to buy a topcase just in case the keyboard is dead or even partially damaged. It’s riveted in on the Air, so you need to buy a whole topcase or drill the rivets out 100% perfectly (it will never fit right again if you mess one up) and install screws. End users are better off getting the topcase and not taking the chance. Thankfully it’s only $150 to get it with the keyboard installed, but you don’t get a trackpad and that may also be trashed, but it’s also cheap at $90.
