In between the home button and the digitizer cables is a square latched, in between replacing a new screen on the iPad I noticed this and removed the sticker which then I noticed has a compositor attached to it. I am not sure what it is or its function and before I finish the repair would like to know what it is. Please and thank you
When doing the iPad Air 2 that’s a wake sleep sensor . For some reason that little parts/sensor can’t be remanufactured. So you have to remove that sensor and put it on the new screen which requires soldering. Search utube iPad Air 2 soldering sensor and it should be the first video, and icracked did a video on how to remove that part.
