I set it up thru itunes but its asking for credit card is that for real
You do need a card to setup an itunes store account. As for the iPod touch it does not require a credit card to sync content with the computer. If you give us some more information as to where you are in the setup perhaps we can help you through the rest of it :) P.s. itunes on the iPod touch requires a store account to use.
If you want to get around the credit card activation of an iTunes account, if you enter a gift code that counts the same for some reason.
I believe I was also prompted to do this when I downloaded iTunes onto my home computer. They ask you for a credit card so that they can keep the information saved. This way, every time you wish to purchase a song you don’t have to type in payment information.
since i use itunes only for syncing and restoring the iPod’s/iPhones i’ve fixed - i never gave apple my credit card informations (my Apple TV will never see itunes again - tried to sync it once with this “nice” software - and now the atv shows me everything twice - lol so i’ll stick with winscp (it’s faster anyway ;-) )
Hi, i have an active iTunes store account and never entered any credit card informations. I was also asked for a credit card, as i didn’t wanted to enter credit card informations i got over that step. So i can only get free apps or have to use prepaid cards to buy something in the store.
