I don’t know if you need covers for the bare logic board
Do you have the Logic Board exposed on the iPhone? If so then Yeah I would get it covered a static charge could kill the Logic Board and it could easily be killed. If you have the Logic Board out and exposed then I would place it in an Antistatic Bag to preserve it chances are that if its been exposed for any type of long term its already been damaged in one way or the other. Hope that helps..
If it never came with covers for it which i dont think it does no you dont need them as i dont even thing you ca but them and it would be stupid too
